Four family-run ski hotels on two of the Alps' great ski areas

Three are in Courchevel 1850, in Les 3 Vallées. The fourth is in Val d'Isère. Philippe and Suzanne Capezzone created all four, Capezzone Architecture designed them, and the interiors take their cue from Tibet and the Himalayas. These are one family's own hotels, and it shows.

What your clients are buying

A ski holiday where the hotel does the hard parts

On a first ski holiday, the hard part is rarely the skiing. It is the boots, the lessons, the lift passes, the children and the dinner bookings. Each K2 hotel brings most of that under one roof, so your clients spend their energy on the mountain, not on the planning.

On the snow

Skis on at the front door

Le K2 Palace sits on the Cospillot piste and Le K2 Altitude at the edge of the Pralong piste. At both, guests step into their skis outside and ski straight back in at the end of the day. Le K2 Djola is in the village centre, steps from the slopes, and Le K2 Chogori is in the heart of Val d'Isère, close to the slopes.

Kit

Kit sorted under one roof

Le K2 Palace, Le K2 Altitude and Le K2 Chogori each have their own ski shop for sales and rental, so boots and skis are fitted under the same roof as breakfast. At Le K2 Palace and Le K2 Altitude, the shops stock a ski line made with Dénériaz, the brand of Olympic champion Antoine Dénériaz. Le K2 Djola offers ski storage.

Children

A world of their own for children

Le K2 Palace, Le K2 Altitude and Le K2 Chogori each have a Kids Klub, with separate spaces for young children and teenagers, so the six-year-old and the teenager both have somewhere to go. Le K2 Palace and Le K2 Altitude state that children remain under their parents' supervision. Confirm the arrangements at Le K2 Chogori with the hotel.

Evenings

Evenings worth staying in for

After the last run, tired legs head to a Goji Spa with Nescens treatments at the three larger hotels. Then dinner: one MICHELIN star at Le K2 Altitude, or braise cooking and fondues at Le Bottleneck in Courchevel and Val d'Isère.

Le K2 Palace · Suite-Chalets and Chalets

Ten private chalets with a Palace next door

There are ten in all: four Chalets and six Suite-Chalets. Each sits on the Cospillot slope beside the hotel, linked to it by indoor passageways. Your clients close their own front door at night, and the Palace's spa, restaurants and concierge are a short walk away, without a coat.

Layouts, sizes and features are as Le K2 Palace lists them. The Chalets page refers to hot chocolate "prepared by your chef": we confirm chef and staffing arrangements with every quote. Rates are what the hotel's booking engine showed on 28 October 2026 for the dates stated, per night, and depend on availability.

Kids Klub

The kids' clubs at Le K2 Palace and Le K2 Altitude

At both clubs, animators create new activities every day, in separate spaces for young children and teenagers. The hotels state that children stay under their parents' supervision, so present it as a family play space rather than a drop-off crèche. We confirm opening hours and ages with each stay.

Season planning

Sell January and March for shorter stays

Christmas and the French February holidays are the hardest weeks to sell, with full-week stays, fixed arrival days and little left by late October. January and mid-March are where four- and five-night stays work.

Swipe the chart sideways to see the whole season.

Hotel bars show the first and last nights each hotel's booking engine offered on 28 October 2026. Dashed ends mean the exact date sits inside that window. Le K2 Djola gives only "Rendez-vous in December" for its opening. Peak bands are the French school holidays published by service-public.gouv.fr.

Minimum stays and arrival days

What each hotel's booking engine offered two adults on 28 October 2026. These rules move with demand, so the hotel confirms the minimum stay with every quote.

Book Christmas by summerOn 28 October, no hotel offered seven nights from 26 December, and for 19 to 26 December Le K2 Chogori had only a penthouse left. Christmas enquiries are best placed in spring or early summer.
Quote February as a weekIn the mid-February holiday week, none of the three hotels offered a five-night stay from Sunday 14 Feb. Seven nights, Saturday to Saturday, were bookable at all three.
Use the early-booking ratesLe K2 Altitude showed an "Early rate 10%" and Le K2 Chogori an "Early Bird Rate" and a 12% offer on five-night stays in January and March.

First-time skiers

For clients who have never skied

Many of the travellers you look after will be new to skiing. Between the resorts and the hotels, the support is already in place, from the first boot fitting to the first lesson.

A ski shop assistant fitting ski boots for guests at Le K2 Palace
Boots fitted to each guest in the ski shop at Le K2 Palace.
Ski schoolCourchevel lists ski schools in every village, including ESF Courchevel 1850 with about 500 instructors, for group and private lessons. Val d'Isère lists ESF and about ten other schools and guide offices. Book ski school with the stay for February.
Children's areasCourchevel's Children's Village is an enclosed, secure area of 3 hectares. Val d'Isère's Savonnette green run lets children learn under their parents' eye, with free lifts.
EquipmentThe ski shops at Le K2 Palace, Le K2 Altitude and Le K2 Chogori sell and rent equipment. At Le K2 Palace and Le K2 Altitude the team prepares it to each guest's level.
ConciergeLe K2 Palace's concierge team arranges ski bookings, the station and altiport shuttle, and hot-air balloon or helicopter tours.
Lift passesIn Courchevel your clients can choose a Courchevel-only pass or the full 3 Vallées pass. Beginners rarely need the full area in their first days.
Non-skiersThe partner who does not ski has plenty to fill the day: pools, spas, tea time and sledging, plus Le K2 Altitude's own cinema and stage, Le K'Baret. Le K2 Altitude and Le K2 Palace also offer "Little Red Pandas" spa treatments for children aged 5 to 12.

Plan a stay

Fit, objections and practical points

The three questions advisors hear most are about rates, peak availability and minimum stays. The answers below come from the hotels' own sites and booking engines.

Strong fit

  • Multi-generational families who want rooms, kids' club, spa and dinner on one site: Le K2 Altitude.
  • Two or three families travelling together: a Le K2 Palace chalet sleeps 10 to 14 in five to seven bedrooms.
  • Couples who want privacy and full service: a Le K2 Palace Suite-Chalet, with a butler for breakfast and tea time.
  • Friends who want the village after dark: Le K2 Djola, in the centre of Courchevel 1850.
  • Families with confident skiers: Le K2 Chogori in Val d'Isère.

Think twice

  • Two or three-night stays at Christmas, New Year or in the February holidays. Quote January or March instead.
  • Parents expecting a drop-off crèche. Le K2 Palace and Le K2 Altitude state that children in the Kids Klub are under their parents' supervision. Confirm the arrangements at Le K2 Chogori, and ask about ski school or a private nanny.
  • Guests who want dinner in every night at Le K2 Djola. Its dining page lists breakfast, tea time and an early-evening apéritif, not dinner.
  • Late-season skiing. On 28 October the Courchevel hotels' booking engines showed no nights after early April. Val d'Isère's lifts run to 2 May, but Le K2 Chogori's last bookable night was 8 April.
  • Pets. Le K2 Palace does not accept pets. Check with the other hotels.
"The rates are too high"Quote by room category, not by brand. On 28 October, Le K2 Chogori showed rooms from €855 per room per night with breakfast in early April, against €1,950 per room per night for a Classic Room at Le K2 Palace at the end of March. Shoulder dates and early-booking rates move the number most.
"Peak is full"Peak weeks do fill early: on 28 October, Christmas showed little or nothing. Start Christmas and February enquiries in spring or summer, and offer early January or March as the alternative.
"Clients only want four or five nights"That works outside peak. In January, Le K2 Altitude accepted two nights, and Le K2 Palace and Le K2 Chogori four. In mid-March, three-night stays were bookable at Le K2 Palace and Le K2 Chogori.
Schengen visaFrance and Switzerland, including Geneva airport, are in the Schengen area. Indian passport holders need a short-stay Schengen visa. Apply no earlier than six months and at least 15 days before travel. Standard processing is 15 days and can extend to 45. The fee is €90 for adults and €45 for children aged 6 to 12, and visa service-centre fees come on top.
What the rate includesThe booking-engine rates we saw were per room per night for two adults, with breakfast and VAT. City tax is extra. The rates we saw at Le K2 Palace and Le K2 Altitude included the altiport transfer. Ask the hotel to confirm this with each quote.
Restaurant daysL'Altitude is closed on Wednesdays, and Le Bottleneck at Le K2 Palace on Sundays. Book tables for the evenings that matter when you confirm the stay.
Reduced mobilityLe K2 Altitude and Le K2 Djola each list two accessible rooms. Le K2 Chogori lists two Superior Rooms, a Grand Luxury Suite and a penthouse as accessible. At Le K2 Palace, one Classic Room, the four chalets and Suite-Chalets K3 and K4 are listed as accessible.
Meals and dietsSend dietary needs with the enquiry and we confirm them with the hotel before you quote. We do not promise specific menus.
